Faculty members of Balıkesir University visited Ermaksan High-Tech Center
Prof. Sare Celik, head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Balikesir University, with a group of people consisting of engineering faculty and Composite Research Training and Simulation Application and Research Center members have been visited the Ermaksan high technology manufacturing center.
At Ermaksan, they toured the company’s fiber laser manufacturing center as well as its Optoelectronic R&D center. They obtained information about the Ermaksan’s high-tech solutions, such as 3D printers, laser systems, laser sources, diodes, and FBG sensors. The delegation was extremely impressed, especially with Ermaksan’s additive manufacturing technologies and FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensors.
During the visit, head of department and faculty members were also given a briefing on the company’s history, activities and future studies, as well as an additional lecture on the issues of R&D that concern the innovation and technology practices carried out by Ermaksan.
